I bought a used buddy club spec 2, can anybody tell me if they had different generations? Cause some pictures of the exhaust I see a plate that says buddy club but I know of mine and another members who does not have it.

Because I'm selling one and a potential customer backed out cause he said it doesn't have the plate. And trying to figure out a way to prove authenticity.

Mine doesn't have a plate. I don't know anyone who knocks off the spec 2...

It matters cause there is a big difference between paying almost $300 and going to and exhaust shop and getting "JUST A STRAIGHT PIPE" it is about a $200 difference. On top of that authentic parts fit properly without being modified further like a eBay exhaust.
Has anyone ever seen a agency power knockoff, with a real titanium tip? I have. It's on my car.

This is the potential buyer.Lol. I'm pretty sure it's probably a first generation thing.
Dude its here if you want it.

There is also a big difference between a Spec 2 and a muffler shop straight pipe. Use your eyes, it's pretty easy to determine what is and isn't a Spec 2 due to the fact that no one readily knocks them off.
I had a real buddy club back in 08 then sold it cause I crashed in 09. Mine did not have a plate on it saying BC spec II or anything

I have never had my hands on a bc2 to compare. I have seen one in person installed. Is the actual tip thin metal or have like a rolled lip? I want a way to identify if without a doubt.
The first gen ones did not have it. The newer ones did. I have had both generations. They look about the same. The quality of the welds is a dead giveaway and the fact that no knock-off's use the the behive springs is another indicator.

my spec 2 doesn't have a plate on it either. plus yours looks like mine so it's real for sure. dunno about different generations though. i've seen the spec 2 on multiple cars and i don't recall there being a buddy club plate on it.

It's legit. How many knock-offs would implement a slip fit with the retaining springs? Would think it's easier to just slap on a flange.

Anyone else has issues with the BC Spec 2 sagging a bit in the middle? Mine is copping some serious damage on the resonator and the flanges where the testpipe meets the cat-back.

It got a slip on, thats all that matters. I have yet to see a knock off exhaust copy the slip on design. You're not paying for the name, you're paying for the damn clearance since its high up and doesnt have an extra flange to catch when you're slammed.
Here was mine:
