FS: 94 Mazda rx7 FD (SELL ASAP)

SO: we have a 94 BB FD touring with a jspec motor in it. Black interior. It currently has 168,659 miles on it, and will continue to climb due to the fact that the car is my daily.

I unfortunately have nothing from the previous owner in terms of paperwork (all i have is a clean CARFAX) hard copy and digital copy, but ever since i purchased the car, I've been logging everything I do to the car, the day it was done, and how many miles. I also kept the receipt for all that I bought for the car/work that was done to it.

I change the oil every 2k miles, and premix every fill up. Due to the fact that this car is my daily, I can't afford the car to break down, so you can trust that this car is well taken care of.

Hawk HP+ Brake pads (5,544 miles)
Added Ignition booster relay (5,544 miles ago)

FULL Power flex poly urethane bushing job (changed out all stock bushings for power flex (2,010 miles ago)

Odyssey battery/relocate to the storage bin (1,151 miles ago(brand new battery))
Double throttle removal (1,151 miles ago)
Custom Vmount (greddy core, CXracing rad) (839 miles on them!)
New starter from a 95 FD with <30k miles on it)

trying to figure out who you are since your south bay local. But post up the mileage on the jspec engine. There is no way you're getting 16k for it brada... Also post up compression numbers of your engine. everything else looks tip top..and actually reliable for a daily. (I daily my built FD)

WHATS NEW TO THE CAR

Changed out the B&M shifter for mazdatrix shifter
Changed out OEM clutch with:
ACT SS clutch
ACT Prolite flywheel (9lbs)
ACT counterweight


put BRAND NEW 275s on the rear (Nitto 555)
and BRAND NEW 245s on the front (Hankook V12)

Added tint all around (finally cleaned off the nasty purple stuff...)

Replaced stock hood with vented mazdaspeed hood (with hood pins)

Changed out the fuel filter with a brand new one from RP

Cleaned the air filters

Changed the spark plugs with the NGK plats

Changed out ALL the vacuum lines with new silicone lines and went with the simplified sequential setup

Cleaned the stock injectors at RC engineering

Changed out all the gaskets for the motor

Just tuned the car With jeff at Rotary Power USA (10PSI regular, 12PSI high)

Took off the stock oil cooler and added dual 19 row oil coolers from Setrab

Added an oil temp gauge

Changed out the Autometer boost gauge to an RE-Amemiya boost gauge

Price up to $18,000 OBO

Um, 99% of the things on the list I did because I wanted to upgrade. Nothing needed to be fixed. Everything was in working order. Why would I give you an fd + cash on my end for a z..............Lol

Yeah man, no offense, but theres no way in hell the car will go for 18k. Thats what i was asking for my 94 Chaste White that was seriously built way beyond your cars level with 80k miles on it. I finally just took my car off the market because i have $12k in parts alone that dont include the rebuilds and was being offered civics and shit. Frankly after owning a properly done FD, a Z of any kind isnt even worth looking at. Theyre nice cars, but no where near the fun and agility of a FD.

to add... the Z is worth more now because it is relatively newer car, but it will quickly depreciate in value. i have a friend who financed a z33, didn't like it, sold it a year later, and lost a few thousand dollars in the process.

This FD isn't worth 18k, but there are plenty out there that make this price like like chump change.

OP you really do Need to lower your price, car is nice and clean but 18 is a bit much. IMO you should just keep it and enjoy it, you'll be hard pressed to find something that will give you the power, and control in the same class as the FD.

btw sc nice Z, I know someone who would love those kouki tails if you ever decided to part them.
