There are no 3" elbows. There are 3" downpipes if thats what you're looking for. But the best elbow you can get is a Tomei Elbow.

You bumped your thread 23 minutes after you just bumped it ?

The "pipe" you are referring to is the AIV system. It allows fresh air to mix with exhaust gases to heat the cat, thus reducing emissions.

If you live in an area where you don't need to worry about your car's emissions, the AIV system can be removed, and you can run an aftermarket turbo elbow. If you do end up removing the system, you need to remove the pipe, the valve, bracket, all vacuum hoses leading to the valve, and cap any open vacuum sources you left behind or rerun new vacuum lines to eliminate any open junctions.

Search the internet for a Nissan Factory Service Manual (FSM). Study the FSM, learn it, love it. Never work on your car unless you are familiar with what it is you are looking at.

An aftermarket turbo elbow will bolt up to the stock downpipe, aswell as aftermarket ones. But you won't see any gains from an aftermarket elbow unless the rest of your exhaust system is free flowing as well (3 inch piping).

Thanks for the tips m8.
Well that's the good thing I live in Curacao (next to Aruba), the car emissions on our island are not that strict so I can go ahead and change that.
Will post what the result are once i have changed everything.
My main issue was removing the AIV system and. For exaple my car would start running rich or something, but that's not the case.

As soon as i finish theat part and the whole car, i will post a couple of pics of the finished product.

Thanks again

Most people just plug the AIV...I usually just cut the pipe off and keep the screw plug if its salvageable. Stick a nickel in the AIV port, and plug in the screw to hold it on place.
