I didn't think I'd get much interest.
I forgot to add my payments on the OP. Ill try to do that when I get home.
Believe it or not butk I was paying $800 a month for it. I've lowered the payments to $450 a month but I can't afford even that! I need that money back in my pocket so I can buy food, lol.
Please let me know if anyone is interested

Jay's old car. Very nice. If you don't mind me asking, how much LONGER are the payments for. lol. I was paying about $500 a month on my old R32 GTR, so mildly curious. Not a serious buyer tho, so feel free to ignore me. I'm currently looking at the motorex 32 for sale on here. GLWS, this car is fast and well built.

how much did you buy it for?
unless, the bank is basically mortgaging you the car.
Did you get a car loan? or use a college loan or something similar?
The only reason you can pay 500 a month on 30k would be because you are on a 6 year loan OR they are treating it as a credit loan where you end up paying like 40k on 30k because you wanted to borrow money.

Honestly they're not requiring me to pay until November either. I recently paid about $3k to match the asking price of a previous interested buyer.... So, I think they want my interest to accumulate. Either way I'm paying $100 just to satisfy the interest and keep my balance at $30k until someone does a name change with me

I think its like this you take over payments you have to get the car transferred into your name which means the bank will run whoevers credit to see if you get approved for a 30k loan if you do they will gladly transfer the car under your name and set up payments.
That's what I had to do when I traded cars with a buddy that wanted me to take over payments
what you do... is hold the title. (banks do it all the time)
and if he doesnt pay. report it stolen. Or you could set an allotment and not miss a payment!
and if still available ill pay your loan... i only kid. i wish i could pay your loan.:naw:

Not as hard as one might think.
Definitely wasn't hard at all. The insurance was even easier and faster. The bank and insurance company both wanted an appraisal but I told them the closest USDM equivalent was an Infiniti G37 then they said, ‘uhhh then why you asking for so much money?’ I quickly responded and said, “M-my fault, I meant a 2009 Nissan GT-R.” Boom.
Thanks for the interest. I tried calling everyone that I could and left messages with those that I couldn't get a hold of. For those interested, please give me your number and I'll do my best to call you back as soon as I have a few minutes free.
As an update, this is sorta pending transfer to someone in FL that I contacted yesterday. We're waiting on the word back from the bank.

interested in more info, this sounds like a clusterfuck however.
few things I would assume,
1. I would need to get with your bank and get approved for the loan to be put in my name
2. I would need to agree to the terms of the loan you setup or renegotiate the terms
3. I would need to know the pay off as in what the principle of the loan is.
ps how do you owe 30k on a 22k loan? did you miss a bunch of payments or something? or is 30k what 800/month a little over 3 years left on the term of the loan?
Bigalow311

Stop listening to other people on this thread. I NEVER SAID $22K anything... If I had the ability, I would delete most of the BS on this thread because it's getting dirty in here.
Apologies for the confusion and interested people should only pay attention to my responses for the most part since I tried to reply only to legitimate questions/concerns.
I think a lot of the people I've been talking to on the phone have a better idea of what's going on since I feel easier giving personal information that way. If you're interested in transfering or just getting my beloved Skyline then please PM me your name and number and I'll try my best to call you ASAP!

*UPDATE*
I spoke to my bank. Apparently, they don't allow name changes on the loans. I honestly thought it would be as simple as walking in there and telling them to change the name on the loan.
In any case, I'm selling straight up for $30k which is exactly how much I still owe.
Again, please keep sending those phone numbers so we can talk about the Skyline.

TNTramair
06-14-2012, 12:36 PM
this is simple...he owes 30k on the car. he just wants to walk away so basically whoever wants the car will need to get approved for the owed amount either by his bank or their own should they seek other means of financing. if you get approved through his bank, they pay off his loan. you would than be on the hook for the 30k and it subsequently gets financed in your name for the agreed terms.
how ever if you get your own financing done (or for some reason have $30k sitting under your bed)...you pay his loan off, they release the lien on the title and than you can tranfer it to your name in your home state. (as far as titling a skyline etc in your own state im not sure of but thats another story i wont get into)...end of story.

30k is what you owe now because you've pretty much defaulted.
the car is worth 1/2 maaaybe 2/3 what you're asking.
ever think that it would be EXTREMELY unfair to stick someone with YOUR accrued interest?
realistically you should sell the car at $15k - $20k and you should pay the balance off yourself. you can't expect your mess to just clean itself up magically.
and there's a reason you can't register them.
if you're so enlightened then share.

So to sum up what your saying, his R34 GT-T is only worth $15,000.
His car is worth what he is asking, I'm somewhat surprised it isn't gone yet for
30K since all others I see GT-T or GTR all seem to sell for 40 plus.
Leave this guy alone and stop scaring off his potential buyers with your non sense. It's been said before the car can be titled, registered, insured, and driven. That's all that matters.

Right. you emailed me? I was waiting for you to reply here so this is my main point of sale now. I'm glad you posted that because it confirms what I said in the OP. I left my license plate in the CL add, Why...? Because I have nothing to hide. I wanted people to see the plates and understand that its out of state. Moreoever, those talented individuals could've looked my information up and see exactly where, and to who the Skyline is registered with.
I was one of those guys PM'ing the previous owner asking about this R34 and now I'm on the flip-side seeing if anyone wants to buy my R34 for a shitload less then what I paid.. to include 99% of the mods that I spent my money on.

Inviz, I owe you an apology. You have some pertinent questions that I just noticed by going through this whole thread again. I'll PM you with the information you seek.
If the people that I talked to on the phone can chime and and confirm that I never said that there would be 0 risk involved. I understood the risk of a non-bond released R34 and I was fine and would've been fine if I could still afford it.
BTW, I'm on Japan time so don't expect quick replies. Again, appologies for the bank situation and those that gave me their numbers, let me know if I didn't talk to you on the phone. I'm trying to stay on top of all this but I might've let a few fall through my fingers.

Additionally if someone wants to complete the GT-R convert on my Skyline then I can sell you my GTT to GTR body conversion kit that I bought from Europe. It's by JDLTuning and to my knowledge they're only makers of GTT to GTR body kits.
I honestly was going to make this a ZTUNE clone including the Silver Ztune GTR color.
My plan was to use the JDLTUNING body parts for the rear of the Skyline and use Empire Aero (in Australia) for the Ztune conversion parts for the flared fenders, Nismo bumper, etc.
My R34 WAS going to be a 600rwhp Ztune replica including authentic Nismo I/C. If anyone is interested in then I can go over the details with you.
GTT to GTR:
Nissan Skyline R34 GTT / GTR body convertion - www.jdltuning.com (http://www.jdltuning.com/Nissan-Skyline-R34-GTT-GTR-body-convertion)
GTR to ZTUNE (this picture here is exactly how I was going to make the Skyline look):
GTR GARAGE (http://www.empireaero.com.au/pages.asp?ID=GTR+GARAGE)
Also, I have Nismo tails(Nismo vs stock):

lol. You have that white R34 GT, right?
I thought you didn't like any of the shit I had for sale? I'll probably sell in Japan if no one wants them state-side.
East bear and Uras don't make a Gtr conversion kit. They make Gtr look-a-like kits for the Gtt. Basically, body penals that look like a skinny gtr. I hope that makes sense.
The JDLTUNING kit includes wide quarter panels, trail covers, gaslid cover, etc. basically, The same measurements as the stock Gtr.
I remember specifically looking in that before I purchased.

I don't know if anyone has already tried this but in terms of financing any car that was not made in the US market, including this one, take pictures and details of the car to a local auto appraiser.
Have the appraiser write it up for a 30K worth and bring the appraisal to the bank. That should allow you to get financing for it through almost any financial institution.
I financed my 1995 STATE TITLED R33 gtr through a local credit union at 5.7% apr

Nismo combo meter:

Help me clear my garage of my Skyline parts because I'll cry if I see them and not the car anymore.
I can include those 3 items for $1500 (the kit alone was $1200 not including shipping).

A few people asked me questions regarding the GT-R convert so I'll post it here.
I had almost everything I needed for the GTR convert except for the drive-train and body kit. The ATESSA system would've taken a lot more time and money so that was last on the list but I bought the first phase of the GTR body clone that I needed.
The JDLTuning kit is the only GTT to GTR kit that widends the GTT to look exactly like a GTR. The kit comes with winder quarter panels, GTR bumper, GTR rear bumper, side skirts, etc etc. BASICALLY, I WAS GOING TO USE THAT FOR THE REAR OF THE SKYLINE.
Empire Aero makes Ztune body kit so I was use their ZTUNE bumper, Ztune, fenders, ZTUNE side skirts, Ztune, rear pods. BASCIALLY EVERYTHING I NEEDED FOR THE FRONT OF THE SKYLINE.
Both kits do not include a hood however Seibon makes carbon fiber GTR hoods and 1 that looks exactly like the Ztune hood:

The GT-R 4WD drivetrain was going to be a big monster. The best information I recieved was talking to Sean Morris. I basically needed the transfer case, GETRAG tranny, shifter, R34 shafts, shorter shocks (R34 GTR have shorter shocks, etc), and (the biggest headache) would've been the custom wiring harness. There's a lot of detail to deal with but it would've been possible to do the switch over. Ironically, converting to a GTR would've still been a lot more inexpensive than actually buying 1.
Anyways, as mentioned I'll sell the Nismo and GTR body parts to anyone interested.
