In a few weeks I will be sending out my harnesses to Heavy Throttle for rewiring of an S13 Redtop for my '95 S14 chassis. If I dont want to wait until I pull my KA motor out to send the KA harness, could I find another '95-'98 KA harness to send, or does it definetely have to be a '95 KA harness to work for the S13 Redtop SR rewiring in my '95 S14?. I've done a search and read up about OBDI and OBDII differences, but couldn't find a straight answer for an SR rewiring. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

ok i have a 96 s14 with an s13 SR, i did the wiring my self with the instructions i found on a website, the instructions were for a obd1 95 but my is an obd2 96, and everything was the same, all the wires colors etc for what oyu need to convert are the same. all of my accesories work perfectly CC even though i dont have it connected, Wipers, AC, etc....
Now nect thign why dont you do the harness yourself , it is super easy to do, i did mine in a weekend and saved my self 250.00, i spent about 50.00 on a new saudering gun, and all the tape and shit. i had no previos wiring experience or even nissan experience, im telling you it was easy, if you want the instructioins email me or pm me and i will give them to you. hope this helps :w00t:

I have little wiring experience from installing an SAFC2 in my supercharged Max last year, and little stuff like rewiring corner lamps and turn signals and such, but thats about it. I've been looking at http://sr20.hybrids.jp/ for the write-up which doesn't seem to bad, just really tedious. I might take a closer looks once my KA harness is out. As for the differences in Ka harnesses, I'm beginning to believe I won't be able to use a OBDII harness if my car is OBDI, but still not sure. As of right now, I guess I won't take any chances and just wait until my KA harness is out. If you have the instructions from another site, please pm me. Thanks.
