Ok, so I'm figuring I'll have about 1,000-1,200 to spend on mods imediately once I purchase My car.
What would you spend it on??

(engine staying NA)

suspension. Either a good spring shock combo and some bars or cheap coilovers.

If you don't have aspirations to do a motor swap I would get a good exhaust and intake along with a header. The suspension would be my first move if I was thinking about a motor swap though. just MHO.

Keep saving......save for a turbo kit or swap.

I'd have to say a CAI, headers, and ehaust combo; since I think the car handles #### good as is and it's lack of power is its major shortcoming. Then keep saving for the suspension mods.

I just spent 500 for hotshot CAI and headers, and I don't regret it. It is the first thing I have dont to the car. I am in agreement with wyldchyld7x.

I'm not exactly sure how good of a condition ur car is gonna be. I say, first drive ur car for like a couple weeks before spending any money. If you are just learning how to drive, then the clutch that is already on the car will get burned up while ur learning and making mistakes. Other problems might surface as well. When I bought my car I had to change the radiator and a new clutch cause I burnt the one that was there already. So its not all about putting extra stuff first. Its about making sure ur car is in good running order before u go spending tons of money on stuff that is "extra" and not manadatory. think about it

the 1,000 - 1,200 is after I have a mechanic go over it, and do a tune up. I'm gonna replace the Water pump, and the PCV valve, etc. (any suggestions on things to replace for reliabilites sake may be interjected here.. )
If It needs a cluth, I'm probably gonna get an ACT, I'm not to worried about learning on it.. I've been driving a 5-speed for about 5 years. And I already know how the car handles.. I owned an 90' 240 for about 1 1/2 years.

These are the items that I'm thinking about.
Just gotta pick which ones..

Greddy Header - $350
Injen CAI - $268
Apexi N1 dual - $467
whiteline Sway bars $250
OBX Short Throw - $100
CUSCO Rear Strut Triangle Bar - $135
I already have a front strut tower bar from the old car.

Any Suggestions? also if you can find them cheaper let me know. Thanks.

Try finding a different shifter than the obx ... I hear alot of bad things about them ...

suspension. If you go for a shifter, go all out and get a B&M

I agree, but what ever you order will take probably nearly a month to get to you anyway. I also had a mechanic look over my car, did'nt stop my head gasket from blowing

once u get your car,.... find out what stock parts needs to be replaced first, and replace them with aftermarkets..... that is the smartest way

Magnacor wires
suspension- springs and stocks together....
intake
exhuast

1000? either do a suspension upgrade or save save save. out of all the money i've spent on my car, i'd say the car audio and the suspension make it fun. intake exhaust, clutch, flywheel and high flow cat didn't do much (ok it did some), i would have rather saved for a turbo, then bought that stuff.

i think once you start fixing up your first car for performance, you realize what you did right and wrong, and on your second car you'll know what to do. it's just a shame i'll have this car until it's crushed, and i probably won't trade it in for another car...

cool..

actually thats only the Short Ram intake at enjuku for for that much. The CAExtension is like an extra $80

obx is a bitch to install, i have one. it was a serious pain in the ass. get b&M or C's if u can. i can prolly get the obx for cheaper than $100 too
