Ok, i tried to search for this any found nothing. So i was wondering how good of a platform is the RB30 for N/A how how much power could i get out of one. I was thinking of using RB26 head due to fact that it has ITB and is said to flow better then the RB25. I wll use RB25 RWD tranny. I am just starting to get parts together for this swap, it is gona be about a yr b4 i can get the engine into the car, another factor i gota figure out is where can i get the RB30, I know there were made in Australia in the Holdens. Before i go and do all this i just wanted to know should i go N/A or just go single turbo??

Good luck.
There aren't a lot of australian Nissan R31 skyline, or Holden Commodore front clips in the US.
If you do have an australian engine source, click these links for more info:

You'll need a custom hood (or scoop in the right spot), the RB30 sits too high for the hood to close.

I know about the hood deal, i am getting a custom made cowl hood. probably will get flammed when i post pics of it since it looks like a V8 hood, but it works. Any ideas on what turbo to use for this. And if anyone can help me with a importer from Australia.Oh and thanks for the links above, helped me out with the timing belt, now i know which dayco to get

i am sorry ghetto but yes, sorta like a chevy. If u give me a picture of another hood that will clear this engine, i can send it to the body shop, they didnt start the hood yet.

RB30...NA? Hmmm...I say no. All motor is just so lame when you compare the same motor to one with a nicely setup turbo. You could spend a TON getting that RB to make decent power (maybe 300 hp if you really try?)...or you could spend hardly anything (in comparison) to drop an RB25 in there and pop a nice ball bearing turbo on it. So nice with a big fat juicy torque curve. Why do you think turbocharged Hondas are so popular? A B16 with a T28 is fun to drive. A B16 built to be a B17 with a 11,000 rpm redline is NOT.
