View Full Version : Odd wiring issue, no crank, no priming

I hate having to resort to forums for help, but this is ridiculous.

i had a ton of electrical issues, replaced the main body harness, efi, and lower trans harness. all new fuses(checked, all good) and all new relays(all good)

Heres the issue. everything electrical works. lights. strong battery.(12.2 v last i checked) radio, everything on those circuits. the issue is when i turn the key on, no fuel pump prime, no starter crank. everything is hooked up. and i sanded all the grounds down and made sure they are solid connections.

The odd part, with the key in the ON posistion, if i remove the battery connection, or EFI relay and re connect either, fuel pump kicks on and primes, and i cant crank still.

so it seems so backwards, then when the key is on nothing happens, but if the battery or circuit is broken then reconnected everything works.

anyone have ANY ideas on what is going on?

car is a 1993 240sx Ka24DE manual transmission

This, or possibly a bad ignition switch. Have you tried jumping power to the S terminal on the starter? If you force crank it, will it start and run, or does it just die?
