Another one of these?

Damn, dude, how hard is this?

1 - a reasonable daily, which if is your first car, spend 5k or less, section a couple grand to maintain it.
2 - is you MUST, a project... again, all told you can do this for 5k or less, section a few grand to work on it.
3 - SAVE THE REST, in fact hide it before Obama takes it from you and gives it to a crackwhore with 11 kids.

Whatever you do, don't buy a newer BMW. I would know, I work on them everyday. They aren't cheap to run. :-/

Find a used G if you want something nicer. Unless you want to build something. Buy a cheaper car and get to work! :)

You can find pretty nice E46 M3's for less than 30k. I'd suggest test driving something you might want, if you can find a car you think you might want at a dealership go for a test drive. You don't have to buy that one, but get a feel for a car you're looking at. Good luck, and make sure you get what you want. :2f2f:

Actually since you're in Canada...I want a JZX100 Chaser/Mark II. Whats the going rate for one of those up north?

This whole thread is useless unless you specify what your goal is for the car. Do you want a higher hp car that's still reliable or do you want a car with better gas mileage. Are you gonna keep it stock and spend all your money on the sticker price or are you gonna go with a cheaper car like a 240 and mod the shit out of it?

and here i was going to suggest a used e92 3 series coupe. that's a car i want, but i don't think i would blow 40k of my own money for a new one. easier to say when it's someone else's money.

this is more than likely a troll, but with 35k buy a house. you won't listen, but it's worth repeating anyways.

e36 M3 or 328is. Don't cost an arm and a leg. Are a lot more reliable than newer BMW's. Make a great RWD daily driver. Bank the rest of the money and save for a house.

Find a 5spd IS300/Altezza for under $10k and save the rest. Reliable, classy and not enough performance to get you into too much trouble for a first car.

And as with the last of these "I have a ton of money and no clue, tell me what car to buy" threads, the OP has not been heard from since the first day

Do kids these days really have that much trouble deciding what cars to get, even with a large budget of 35k?

I would just get a crappy civic if this is your first car and invest the rest because cars are not the best thing to throw money at.

The only way to get a newer BMW is brand new, with the BMW warranty. Other than that, if you have money to support it, get an E46 M3, or an E36. ;)

Or if you want to be dumb like me, get an E39 530i sport 5spd.

He's 20 and probably in school. Lets shelf the house plan for a few more years. OP please dont blow everything on a car. Savings will be your friend.
