I was driving home from walmart, and my oil light came on idk why i have oil in the motor im thinking it could be the sensor might have come off some how or one of the wires came off the ecu... i have the ecu laying down on the floor and its deloomed from ecu connector about 15 inches back to inspect the shity work that jgy did.

I wouldnt drive it until you're sure its just a bad sensor. Nothing kills an SR quicker than low oil pressure. An aftermarket oil pressure and water temp are must have for these engines before anything else, including a boost sensor. Usually, when the oil line turns on and you continued to drive it, damage is done on the bottom end (rod bearings and main bearings).

sounds like you have a bad sensor, those are reasonable oil levels at idle and driving.

If you have an aftermarket gauge, just take the bulb out of the dash. Its a stupid light anyways.

isnt 20 is pretty low on sr when sitting idle? i remember you should have at least 45 psi on idle then 70-80 when you rev

I once had correct oil pressure on my oil pressure gauge, but still had the light popping on the dashboard after a minute of driving. It was caused by a bad oil filter and a worn out pump: If your sensor is off a sandwich plate, then it is BEFORE the oil filter.
The oem pressure switch is after the filter, and you could have good oil pressure reading while not having enough oil pressure to your engine if the pump is too weak or the oil filter has a problem.
Best thing to to is to Tee where the oil pressure switch is and put a hose to a pressure sensor here. Dont put the pressure sensor directly, it weights too much and will kill threads on the engine block. This way you will have the oil pressure after the oil filter, which is much more important.
Take some time to check it. I hope it just is a faulty sensor, because that light is a "too late" one when it pops and the switch works ...

Absolutely NOT, take a look at the workshop manual before spreading false numbers like that:axe:
His numbers are spot on, yours are way too high...

All depends on if you're talking about cold engine on start up or hot engine and oil is thinned out. Lowest acceptable to me is 1bar/14 psi. Anything less than that, i wont be able to sleep at night. On revs, it should go up with the RPM, roughly 1bar per 1k, until about 5k.

Man, I think I jinxed myself. Now my KA is doing this same shit. I'll set the KA on fire before I change the damn pump on it.
