It moves the steering wheel out of the way so you can get out of your fixed bucket seat.

That is the PRIMARY function of a quick release system.

It's for race cars.

READ. This does not release. Just tilts up so you can exit your car without squeezing out between your buckets and steering wheel. It's what a regular quick release is meant for as well. This is just another method.

yes exactly. it doesn't come off, just tilts up. that's why im going back to my quick release.

Seems like a lot going on in a very important area of the steering. Is there any play from left to right when you wiggle the wheel?

Many cheap chinese kits show this trouble and really dangerous when you think about it.

Ya you think there might be but its actually a really solid set up. They didn't cheap out on anything here.

I have this setup with nardi wheel. no play when I wiggle my wheel and I love this more than the NRG QR set up I used to have. give's a better touch to the interior too.
