I finally got my sr20det swap done! But i have a small problem. When i drive it idles down low some times after puttig in neatural and applying breaks. Also if i hit the gas harder it will almost die out. So i played with the idler control valve and it helped a little. But what could this be? A boost leak? Also i did research and herd sr20dets do not like hks bovs.?. And it could cuase them to stall is this true? And how should i have it routedfor vacume ? Right now i have it from bov comes to a tee then one goes to wastegate one goes to throttle body sound right? Becuase a friend of mine says there should only be one vacume from the bov and he thinks thats why it does that. Any suggestions?

a BOV, any kind, is a potential vacuum leak, and a big one. If your BOV is leaking enough, it would cause your car to studder, and die.

Well i know the bov is not leaking but the vacume could be routed wrong?

Anybody know why i could be stalling? Or dropping rpms? I would think theres somthing simple to fix it.

I recently swapped my sr20 from one s14 shell to another. After install the idle will now dip and sometimes stall. This was not an issue before. It only does is hot and there is a relay that clicks on and buzzes around the driver side kick panel right before it starts to drop rpm. If I give the car throttle to bring the idle up while this is happening the relay will click on and off with throttle input. Under normal conditions this relay is not making a sound.

Is this similiar to what your experiencing OP?

No , but i found out i had a boost leak now i have the problem of when i let off the gas the rpm comes down and stops at 1200 then goes down to idle? Any ideas?

ok im running an hks bov stick with it if its not a knock off i used to run a greddy type s and rs both sucked. I got huge rpm dip and it was pissing me off. With the hks I have it set up with the top left nipple on the tb hooked on its own line to bov. I wouldnt recommend running the bov and wastegate on the same vacuum line. My second suggestion u already did i guess but test for leaks they spring up sometimes shit happened

I thought fpr goes on the left and im tunningy bov on the right now and im going to tee in to the bov and run my boost guage

Something most people over look is make sure your FPR BOV WGA all have there own vac sorce do NOT tee into these it will cause problems

It could possibly cause problems, not all the time. Most people run wg from either the turbo, hot pipe, lower boost source on the TB. BOV routed from either top TB port, FPR from the other, You could tee the boost gauge from any you want, if you want to go off the brake booster with a vacuum block, just make sure it's before the check valve.

The boost gague, is just that, a gauge. I can see it causing problems if it used that source to do something. Running the bov and the wastegate, or the wastegate and fpr from one source prolly isn't that great.
