Hard to tell from the photo but I can almost guarantee these are OEM trim pieces either hydrodipped and clearcoated or they have been wrapped with carbon fiber then gel coated.

the mould is the expensive part, if you can find out what company / person has the mould, you might be able to get one for 1/2 the original cost, or less...

It could very well be real carbon fiber just wrapped over the stock panels like I said...
Many places can do this for you, and it's not terribly expensive.

I have/made the mold for the lhd s13 radio/shifter trim piece to eventually sell on this forum but haven't had the drive to make a actual carbon piece yet. Maybe i will once i save up some money for the supplies.

Wrapping the stock piece is the best option. Having a new mould build would be very expensive

you know its fucked up when someones dash interior looks better than their exterior, you were just waiting to hop on this thread
CF dash is totally tacky if you ask me. park that shit in the sun and they'll fade and yellow, just like all CF - total waste of time. but cool if you're into that stuff

its cool if you are looking for a lightweight dash option, especially if you have a race vehicle that doesnt require all the vents and stuff mounted to the dash.
plus you can always flock it to protect it, also not everyone lets their cars sit outside a lot where they would yellow. also, if you dont gel coat it, it doesnt yellow. its the gel coat that yellows.
i am going to be building a mold for the dash as part of my second stage of building my car. at that time i will be able to lay up and sell carbon or fiberglass dashes to anyone that wants one, for a cost of course...

If you had a race application, you probably wouldn't have a carbon dash like that one pictured. It would be painted or any other alternative because i bet that dash glares like a motherfucker.

the dash would glare like a B!tch. but if you really wanna do it ,do it yourself, heres a video how and a kit. look around and find the best price

no you wouldnt have one like the one pictured, didnt say you would.
the only reason carbon has a gloss look is because of the gelcoat layer. if you lay it up without it, it is a pretty flat finish and the carbon actually does a good job on scattering the light. I built a carbon/kevlar half dash for my friends track car last year and he had zero glare problems. weighed nothing.
that said, if i did a carbon dash for my own street car, i would consider flat clearing it, just for extra anti glare. or id just flock the whole thing. its carbon for the weight, not the looks for me.

You can buy them online at this site in Wet or Dry. Mine was $850 but they make them per order.

Shows on their website its not wrap. I've first hand seen hydrodipping and the process is incredible, not to mention durable. I'm looking into hydrodipping as a side business once I'm done with my 2JZ build.

but weigh next to nothing. paint it or stickerbomb it if you're that concerned with how it looks. Iv seen it in person, and i dont think it really looks too bad at all. better than a cracked dash, or some janky wrap, or those lame ass plastic overlays
