Has anyone been watching this, its pretty fantastic so far. Surprised that history channel has turned out a series this good. Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton do a great job of portraying these characters and their is plenty of action and bloodshed.

as far as mini series go I would say this is on par with band of brothers so far. I didn't say it was better then band of brother (I know someone is going to jump down my throat for this) but it is of the same caliber.

I've been watching it, for some reason I feel as if the McCoys keep getting.... The short end of the stick.... They seem like they keep getting screwed repeatedly lol.

just got done with the last episode last night...went to bed later than normal LOL
i don't know how much artistic license was used, but the way randall McCoy was portrayed-he came off as a naive, and religious person. he valued his integrity (which is why he didn't desert like anderson), but compared to Devil anse, McCoy just wasn't on his level.

speaking of which, Anse is hustler LOL. but you can't have "devil" in your name and not be a BAMF :snoop:

Finished watching it with the wife last night. I thought it was extremely well done. The acting was very good as well.

The McCoys looked like a bunch of idiots IMO (sorry, no offense). Yeah, they kept getting the short end of the stick, but it was them that kept acting refueling the fire.

Also, MAN were people STUPID and petty back then. Shit, they shot people over damn near nothing back then. Shit it crazy. Not sure if it's worse today or better.

Watched this a few weeks ago, really enjoyed it considering I grew up in North Carolina and have heard of both families but really never knew much about them. Kinda wonder how much was based on fact and how much was kind of made up. . . great mini series either way.

I think most of the main points were facts and they just filled in the gaps
