ok so i blew my s14sr, rod through the side of the block.
i have everything in good condition in another block, but its s13sr block, so ima source out an s14sr block, but in the block that blew i have now 3 good Wiseco pistons, dont kno comp, or size, but will when i open that motor, and i also have 3 good cp pistons 86.5 size and 9:0:1 compression, im thinkin of putting the cp's in cylinders 1 and 4 and the wiseco's in 2 and 3, so when it fires it goes

CP-WISECO-CP-WISECO, 1-3-4-2

i think ima say screw it and do it, any input/opinions about this are welcomed/wanted

the head is going with an hks step 1 256 with 10.5 on intake and greddy easy 264 with 11.5, going along, suby yellow top 550 or 525 injectors (whatever they are), a g20 60mm throttle body instead of the 50mm, and an apexi power fc, i have all this right now.

input on setup is greatly appreciated

Why would you mix and match pistons?

the big thing i would worry about is weight between the two companies. if you can balance them all to the same weight i don't think there would be two much issue. but also if the ratios are off then you could potentially have problems there as well.

Just weigh them and get them within a gram ir even closer and do the same with your rods...then balance the rotating assembly together should not be a issue...as long as they the same compression

yea ill findout exactly what ratio the wisecos are next week when i pull it apart, the weight of them i think is about the only concern, cause each cylinder does its own thing,

the motor that blew, i got from gippy87, and i put a good 10,000 miles on it.

why mix pistons, i dunno, my theory is i have 6 good aftermarket pistons and each cylinder is its own individual, im just trying to make ends meet

You can probably buy one piston from Wiseco.

as stated above, you should be able to get a piston from either manufacturer. I see why you think mixing would be ok.....but honestly, its asking for disaster. Just spend a few bucks on one new piston

On a side not e...we had a 347 that burned a piston...we endend up using a chevy piston just in the one hole and its still going strong 20k later

Then again we were already using 6cylinder chevy rods in a ford block
