CrazyIvan

This is from a s13 KA, and AFAIK the manifolds are interchangeable you just have to install you sensors on the new manifold.

ohh my that's exactly how i want mines to look, i have a red coupe :) don't have the cash right now but i been watching your work Ivan and its awesome, will be coming to you when i get the money.. once this one is sold, later one would you do a trio-job (lower/upper/valvecover)? Also what if you powder coated yours and i send you mine after, like a core type thing?

How is this custom?

as far as i can see, this just looks like any other stock ka intake manifold that has been cleaned up and painted....

looks exactly like mine, difference i used high temp spray can.

true do they make glossy red in high temp?

true do they make glossy red in high temp?

what are you talking about?
I was referring the intake manifold NOT the valve cover....

FYI: with proper preparation and skill, glossy high temp red valve cover can be achieved with spray can. I speak from experience.

Thanks how about achieving white lettering while spraying the valve cover?

Custom b/c its been custom powder coated.
Powder coating is waaaaayyyyy better than liquid paints, will last waaaaay longer, looks waaaayyy better, and is waaaay easier to clean (if done right obviously).

Basically spray can is useless and a waste of time compared to powder coating, not to mention regular powder coating withstands around 700* and high temp 1100*

So unless you're doing exhaust work, regular powder coating can be used pretty much anywhere on your engine.

Fuck it why do i even try.. ..

With liquid paint you'll have to shoot the color you want on the letters, do a lot of masking, then shoot the main color... with powder coating its a lot easier.

So to you, if its powder coated, its considered custom?.... Title fooled me, i was hoping for a badass custom made performance intake manifold, not a stock manifold that was just powder coated. I would recommend to edit the title so no-one else gets confused.

At any point that something is modified from it's original form it's custom isn't it? If not, at what point is it considered custom? In short, yes to me its considered custom, even tho it doesn't have any metal work done to it.

But, I'm not here to argue if this is A or B, it is what it is, a custom powder coated intake manifold, and if it's not your thing just click back and call it a day, no need for drama...

if u want ur letters to look good go ahead and paint the valve cover then sand down the lettering and polish. There u go looks brand new and ur lettering looks good

CrazyIvan

That looks good too depending what color you paint the valve cover...
