Hi you stateside chaps!!! Found your site by accident while looking for info on the Sard r2d2 bov. Are any of you guys running one of these babys on your car at the moment? We also have an excellent forum going in the UK for Nissan 200sx models s13,s14 and s14a www.nissan200sx.co.uk . I think our 200sx (s14/s14a) is the same as your 240sx and tha 180sx is the older shape s13 200sx in the UK? What are the popular mods with your owners, I doubt they differ much from ours except you get the Jap kit cheaper than we do?

Us 240sx (200sx) are power by the almighty truck motor KA (155HP). The most popular mod Is getting the real engine "SR". <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('> I want one so bad! No fair you people get the SR stock. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>. Anyway I welcome you with my bag of Rice and V-tech stickers! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

["Snatch" movie voice] Awright, so now we got ourselves two blokes from England and an odd Belgian ere on Zilvia, eah. Very well then. How do, fellas?
I haven't got an answer about the Sard, as yet. But I know a chap that'll have his on once he finishes his "kit."
Now I got a couple questions for you two, there. First, do they sell a 300zx or a Fairlady over there? And, second, do you get a detuned SR motor like the Ozzies? [/"Snatch" movie voice]
Jeez - tough to keep a Guy Richie-esque voice in my head for two minutes! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'> Anyway, welcome.
I'll also just let you know, as Dave's heard a thousand times (or 2-3) - some here in the states will get miffed by use of "Jap" anything. It was a derogatory term here in the past and some still feel it is. Some would prefer Japanese (even though it's more typing) or JDM (Japanese domestic market). (don't shoot the messanger, just try to understand the message). peace and greetings

To answer your question Hippo. Nissan themselves sell the Z32 as a 300ZX. You can get a "FairladyZ" through an importer though.

Well it would seem that we got a rather Electic bunch here, well I know How much it costs to have your car Modified in the UK, thats the only reason I live in New Zealand, gee how many 450hp 200sx do you have over there, and finally you must read MAX Power mag.
Over here we got the shit cars on the streets WRX's type R hondas, even got crap Evo's everywhere, but thats why i choose Nissan Front engined rear Drive, so I can take on the WRXs, Type Rs, and Evos.
Long Live the SLAYERS, I mean Silvias, gee I'm really a Z person.

Really sorry if any of you were offended by the use of J*P. It's commonly used in the UK as a slang word and as far as I am concerned is in no way meant as an insult. SORRY!! Ah, Hipposleek........don't call us, we'll call you!!!! Yes we all talk like that over here gaw blimey up the apples and pears etc,etc.......
Yes we do have the 300zx over here. Most of the cars in the UK are Fairlady imports as I think only a few UK spec cars were imported. You can't buy them new anymore and the old ones tend to hold their price well.
Yes we do pay thro the nose for modifications but we start with the turbo 2l engine (sr20det) in our 200's so it makes hp easier to get from this start point. I can't imagine what the non turbo is like to drive, the kick in the guts at 2800rpm is superb!!!!!
Anyway please feel free to take the pi** out of me some more and I will try my best to humour you lot!!!! (he he)

ha ha - all good. Accent jokes were all in good fun... I've visited and didn't feel a need for subtitles in daily conversation (unlike Mr. Madonna's movies) <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>.
Thanks for the 300 vs. Fairlady distinction. We've been trying to figure out if the 300 was sold elsewhere and/or if the Fairlady was ever sold w/ LHD (exercise in mental masterbation). You've gotten us halfway there! BTW: Nissan quit making the car in 1999, IIRC, and Autech took over limited production using factory cars that never reached the market - so you wouldn't have seen a new one in the last couple years.
Actually my question about the state of tune was based on the fact that in Austrialia, the car has less power than in Japan (about 35 hp less, IIRC). I didn't know if yours was the same as JDM or ADM. (in other words, is your s14 about 220ps or hp?)
Finally, the guy who posted that Sard doesn't have his car running yet. I will force him to review when he does.

Te He! I would "extract the urine!" out of you lot but I'm a bit outnumbered to be doing that I feel :o
With regards to the 300zx thang (oops!) I don't recall seeing one newer than a 1996 on the roads over here. I may be wrong but I don't think Nissan bought many into the country as UK spec cars. The imports all obviously have the wheel on the PROPER!!! side of the car  so it's generally the badging that sets them apart. The s14s have 197hp as standard over here, mine must be aroung 220hp due to the zorst & filter. I am aware of a few of the chaps on our forum running imported Silvia s14s which as you say put out 220hp to start with. I think this is mainly due to different boost (i may be wrong?) settings. What do your s14s put out as standard. I am aware that you have the n/a version? How does that pull, my s14 is a little flat off boost but one the turbo spools up it flys!! I hope to get a Greddy f/p and de-cat pipe to aid this further.

The 300zx was binned from europe in 1994 and if you want to import them you have to get them from the states, for some reason, and convert them the proper drive (right hand drive), and since I think it costs so much to insure them in england I guess most importers don't want the car sitting on the yard, but if you want it just ask for it, but other than that you will get the new version soon as we all do.
