Little back story, I originally pulled out this motor because of the previous owner, oil pan wasn't bolted on right and it had leaks everywhere. Prior to taking out the car for the oil pan repair it ran solid, no knocks, I didn't DD this because of the oil pan, I drove it max 5 miles from my old house to the new.
I re-did the oil pan, sealed up a few other spots, put the motor back in... This morning I turned it on and I heard this god awful sound coming from my motor, I assumed It's a knock, did some searching and decided to do the rod bearings.
I wanted a second opinion on this noise, and possibly get some ideas on how this came to happen. It was fine before, now It sounds like garbage.
Thanks in advance.

I started to take everything apart to get ready to take out the motor, so excuse all the quick slap ons, I'm sure there is a ton of boost leaks.. just wanted to show you guys the noise I'm hearing.

open up your oil cap and try to feel the chain from the inside and see if theres a slack. if theres a slack you might want to check your oil pressure, timing chain tensioner might got stuck and not putting enough tension. tensioners works with oil pressure, so you might want to check your oil pressure
how to check oil pressure? take the oil pressure sensor and install an oil pressure gauge then start the car. on cold starts your oil pressure should read high around 70-80 psi then when it warms up should sit around 35-40psi.
have you tried revving it up and see if the noise elevates the higher rpm it goes? if the sound goes louder with the rpm possibly your lifters went shit on you.
or you can drain your oil and see if theres any grayish material that comes out with oil. if theres some then your bearings are toasted

I have a pressure gauge installed and when cold it reads 2 bar.. which is 29 psi...slight rev to 3k rpms shoots up to 3.5 bar

thats not good. per fsm it says you should read 60-70psi @ 3k rpm. that reading you got 29psi at cold means that your oil pressure is dead. how many miles does that engine have? i know i read it somewhere on sohc that they have an interval oil pump replacement at 150k miles.

hmm interesting.. it has 190k ATM... ill be doing that asap. do you think that knock would go away with a replacement or should I change my bearings anyway or what do you recommend I do.

you should pull the entire engine apart first. then check bearings to see if there's any wear. if there is, rebuild time.
engine is out, might as well rebuild it

If the bearing is in bad shape you can grab a rod and wiggle it. if any of them move it is a dead give away on a spun bearing. you already have it open so it should only take you a few minutes to check. If none of them move simple remover each end cap and check them visually for damage or scoring. be sure to put them back the exact same way before moving to the next one. Be sure to re-torque them as well.

since my last post I've tores this thing up from top to bottom and picked up a new engine. weird this is none of my bearings had any visual physical damage on them, no shavings or play... I'm starting to wonder maybe it was the heads making that knocking noise...
my engine in the video was only @ 1.5k rpm and that noise was to fast to be a knock from the block I think... not sure, just going for a full rebuild ATM.

When you did the oil pan did you take off the oil pump?

no sir, oil pump was untouched. I strongly believe my oil pump was the culprit..

If you are not getting enough pressure in the head the rockers will make all sorts of noise too. on one of my old single cams it was an indicator to put oil in for me. that thing bleed oil too much.
