Hey guys, I'm doing an S14 SR20 swap, and looking to buy a turbo exhaust.

I did alot of searching and figure that Greddy and HKS would be the best bet for an exhaust system. I love the look of the N1 style, but don't really want something all that loud.

I'm just wondering for those of you that have heard them in real life on an SR20 equipped car. I just want to know wich would be the more quiet of the two? I think the Greddy Power Extreme II would be more quiet than the HKS HiPower, but I just want to see what you guys think.

Thanks guys!

Lui

We had a customer install a greddy one and came back so we can here it. I loved it!!! looks great and sounds deep and low toned yet not as loud as i thought it would be.

I have the Hi Power on my S14, it faintly drones at highway speeds (most 3inch exhaust will) but other than that, the sound is quite nice for a 4 cylinder

Its 120mm tip w/ 80mm piping the PE2

Honestly those 2 exhaust are about the same quality wise (mild steel piping and stainless muffler), except the greddy on N/a KA sounds pretty tollerable and when mated to a T/C or SR car (i installled zilvia member gregshin 's PE2 exhuast) it become as quiet as a stock KA car with its stock muffler at lower RPM. Under 3500rpm the PE too is super duper quiet and makes a nice noise at higher RPM. PM gregshin if u want from his perspective.

What i didnt like was that the PE2 exhaust came slightly off like it required some loving to get into the hangars and on kouki like the APex-i n1 it will require you to shave down by a few mm the lowest part of the metal bumper support. I personally would say find a full stainless hiper 25th aniversary like have or go for the 75mm full stainless Silent Hiper model HKS has just released. Because looking in the long run full stainless is the way to go especially if u live anywhere where there is an abundance of salt.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I'm aware that anything 80mm and over will be loud, so I just want something that will not give me a headache, especially while driving on the highway.

I will most likely go with the Greddy PE II, since it seems to be the more quiet of the two.

Thanks again!

TR evolution 2 comes in both 80 or 94mm piping models.

Other options for boosted-s is the Blitz Realize TT 76.5mm model and the super quiet st. may exhaust jspec.com sells http://www.jspec.com/s14stmay.html .
