Auto tranny went out

So it happens today as im driving to school on the expressway, my tranny felt like it wasnt grabbing the engines power anymore until it felt like i was revving it in nuetral :doh: I start the car up again and it catches the power again and starts to accelerate until it does the same thing. Luckill i make it to class on time, but the ride home sucked, had to pull over 3 different times to restart the car so i could get the car rolling again. Anyone know what could have happened? Is it worth it to repair this tranny? Makes me want to go SR or at least get a 5sp put in, but I need the car running cuz i have work and school everyday and i can't wait on parts. Any San Jose area people with spare SRs?

Yes same thing in my car, only I bought it knowing that problem. Im in the process of sr 5speed. I think you should do it.

yeah just get a manual for sure. if you dont have the money for an sr just go junkyard hunting to find a nice 5 speed to drop in. good luck.

sr20 is never as cheap as exspected. Don't start the swap until you have $4,500 for everything. That's good parts also, along with engine. I soon realized that. I've spent about 3,500 and still have more stuff I want to buy... that's the clip included in the 3,500.

Well I decided for the SR swap, should be started today, hopefully it'll be done in time for the grant ranch meet.
