Lighting problem

What's up guys. I have an 89 hatch that I recently purchased which is giving me some problems. My passenger side headlight and tail lights won't turn on. The tail lights turn on when I press on the brakes. I just don't seem to have driving lights. And the headlight wont even budge. I checked my fuses, replaced my headlight, and replaced the bulbs but still nothing. Any help?

Had a similar problem with my car. The problem most likely has to deal with the switch on the steering column. There is DIY on how to clean the contacts inside, or i believe you can go to autozone and buy a whole new one.

Sorry to get back to this so late. I read the write up on how to do it. I will give it a try tomorrow. Thanks for the info.
