Apex-i AVC-R woes

I finally got a boost controller for my car, but have yet to install it. Its the Apex-i AVC-R. I was all excited about it till one of my friends (owns a shop and is quite knowledegeable) tells me that they are junk, that he used to have one in his DSM and it would spike all the time and wasnt very consistant at all. then he tells me another kid has it and it does the same thing.


Does anyone with an AVC-R ever have problems like this? and do you think its good boost controller or not

User error... Sounds like he had the wastegate actuator solenoid's duty cycle set incorrectly.

I used to have an AVC-R on my old s13 with red top SR and I never had any problems. But then again I might have just been lucky.
