97 factory keyless entry

Hello all,

i just bought a 97 LE kouki and the owner didnt give me the remote for the keyless entry. upon research i discovered my car came factory with it. what a blessing. anyways i went to the dealer today to pick up a remote and got it programmed. it works just fine but i was wondering when using it, is the car suppose to make any noise for indication? when i lock the car with the remote the hazard blinks like 2 times and thats it. unlocking doesnt do anything for indication. is there anyway i can set it so that it beeps like once for unlocking and twice for locking or something? i dont want to THINK i locked or unlocked my door. i want a noise indication to help me KNOW that i locked or unlocked my doors.

Its a keyless entry, not an alarm. It wont make any noise. Spend the money on an actual alarm, being in LA, I'd be worried about somebody ganking that shit, specially without an alarm.

well the LE model came with factory alarm too and i've tested the alarm. it works. im assuming the keyless entry should make noise too but i might be wrong. can anyone confirm?

Again, factory alarm is pretty fucking worthless. Get a good alarm, installed by a reputable shop. Best Buy does not count...
