i just bought a new coolant tank cuz the other one i had has a big hole in it.
i was j/w how much water and coolant do i mix in it? or do i just put water alone or just put coolant alone?

You're supposed to put coolant oil in the overflow tank...its there to help lube the coolant system.

Doesn't really matter, it gets mixed in with the coolant/water in your radiator as your car heats up.
Just make sure the tube that goes down in there is below the water line, so it can siphon water into the system.

oh okay cool thanks! :) the coolant i had in my radiator was like greenish color. would it be bad if i had a different color coolant and mixed them?

Yes it can be very bad. Dexcool(orange) is not compatible with the green coolants.
