Hi guys. I finally got a hold of an s14 speed sensor. My tranny used to have an s13 speed sensor in it. Well today i pulled out the s13 speed sensor and came out with no issues....but when i put the s14 speed sensor in...it just wont fit(thats what she said)..anyway it seems like it just a little too big for the hole. Do i need to trim it or did i get screwed and didnt get the correct s14 speed sensor? Please guys help me out.

I ran across similar issue on my 86 SR, one of my S13 speed sensors was smaller than others. You'll probably have to change the tail section of the tranny to use it unless you can trim it to fit

Damn i do have the auto speed sensor. I trimmed the fat out of it and it fit after hitting it in with my pliers...wired it and drove for like a quarter mile and it worked really good and accurate. I was so happy that i decided to drift around this curve and the fucking speedo was acting up again lol. Drove it back to the garage and the speedo would work and then it wouldnt and then it would again untill finally not working again. Im not sure what happened really but ive spent two night working on this thing with no luck. Got quoted from the stealership for 200$ for a new sensor which is too much so please, if anyone have an extra one laying around...sell it to me.
