Honestly, coilovers are not like shock & spring purchases. A good and reliable set costs a pretty penny in what you're looking for. Drifting is pretty harsh on the dampeners and you want something that is easily rebuild with shortest amount of downtime. One of the reason I love Tein when I had my Celica isn't the performance, but the fact that if something ever goes wrong, it is fixed within 2 days (since they are local to me).

Since you're in NY, Fortune Auto isn't too far away to ship and get them rebuilt if something went wrong. You don't want to cheap things out on your suspension unless you're providing time, labor, and fabrication. Hell, I've ridden coilover sleeves + kyb agx better than a lot of these $1000 wannabe coilovers (ksports. d2, megans)
