ignition problem...please help

so i go to start my car this morning and the key wont turn in the igntion. hmm...thats odd. i check to see if it turns in all the other door handles and it does. so i take it to my local nissan dealer and they make me a new key with the "key door code" that i gave them. (not the "igntion key code" because the ignition code sticker in the glove box is blank). so i try the new key and it still doesnt turn in the ignition but works fine in all the door handles just like the old key. any suggestions on what to do or do i need a new igntion?

another thing i just found out is that the steering wheel is locked and it wont move.
i just bought this car about a week ago and i dont know much about it. it came with this annoying alarm system and its been acting a little weird since this problem occurred. it beeps about four times when you disarm it instead of the usual two beeps and it went off when i shut the door earlier. could the alarm system have anything to do with the locking of the steering wheel and the ignition?
please help me i need to get to work.
