Look at the demeanor of the mother. She's not angry, she disconnected. There's psych issues on both parties involved and a lot of drugs/mental counciling needs to be done. Not put a bullet in her head. Everyone should have to tour a psych ward, people of all walks of life suffer from mental illness and they need some level of help/care.

After seeing moms with post partum psychosis. They god honestly believe they're doing the right thing by not feeding the kid and eventually trying to drown it or something. If it wasn't picked up by the nurses and the follow up's.. 6 weeks out, some mom starts babbling about how her child is not really her's but demon spawn and she's trying to save the planet type thing..

When we catch it with proper treatment and therapy, you'll see a mom who can not believe she tried to drown her own kid. Loves that kid with all her heart. Wouldn't harm a hair on it's head. Really sad that over there, she's going to get jail time instead of proper treatment.
