I had to pay $600 for wreckless driving or the choice to sit in jail for 5 days, $300 for endangering passengers, and $300 for endangering other drivers. 2 points on the record and my insurance tripled. This happened to me 5 years ago and it still shows up on my insurance but not my DMV record.

I fought it in court and had the price reduced drastically but in the long run paid out the ass for insurance and getting hassled by cops everytime they ran my plates. Sucks man, all you can do is learn from your mistakes and not be a drift hero in the streets.

The cops told me i was showing off. Some dumbass in a viper lit them up and turned the other way then i was going and they pulled me over and said i could do nothing. It was a no tolerence issue. They impounded my ride and put a 30 day hold on it. While waiting for the tow truck the cop let me use his pocket knife to cut the zip ties off mybumper for removal. He handed it to me and told me he would shoot me if i used it. Was towed on sat night and got it released from the 30day hold. My shit better not be present when i go to court or these two cops might be kickin rocks. Oh and they let drive my shit on the tow truck. I hate pigs!

I was able to plea mine down to "driving at an unsafe speed". $750 and now traffic school. I did not really notice it on my insurance, but it was my only violation at the time.

Can they prove you did the burnout? Maybe your car was smoking? Or it started accelerating like a Toyota? How far was the cops, sounds like they were not close. So many factors, yet they just assuming it must be you.
Go at it without a lawyer, if you loose you can get a second chance. Then get a lawyer. I didn't know it myself, but there is actually a 2nd chance after you loose at trial. Go back to window and they will give you tons of papers to fill out, it will make you not wanna do it, but it can be done. I tried my best and they told me when I went to 2nd trial, I didn't do the paper work right and judge said, there is a book you can buy that will show you how to fill out these papers. I just fucking laughed at him and said "Keep playing your childish games" then I walked out. It was a small ticket. But I had free time.

Yup, in 2003 I got a reckless driving and exhibition of speed in Dixon california it's an automatic 2 points, stays on your record for 7 years, insurance went up like a mofo I had to pay about $790 luckily the cop let me drive my car home so I didn't get it impounded and didn't get any jail time, sucked ass..... Don't plan to get a job with anything in the automotive industry for the next 7 years, I got lucky and my job didn't care so I was able to stay as a tech....

Here you go again with you talking about how you always show the system who's boss. In the thread for the too low ticket you were saying the same shit about how you just fight the system all the time.

People do fight tickets and win. I've fought a red light ticket and won. You have to be very strategic about it, research the violation code online and see how other people fought and won their tickets.

Oh I know people fight tickets and win. I'm not denying that. I fought a speeding ticket and won simply because the cop didn't show up. I know people win all the time.

I got a speeding ticket which the cop changed to reckless driving. This was when I was 16 so like 9 years ago. The judge ruled that I was guilty, to be expected, allowed me to do traffic school cus it was my first offense but it did cost me a shit ton, like 500 in fines and like 300 or so for traffic school. You should be fine, just dress nice when u appear and don't be a jackass to the cop (when getting cited) or the judge as it will speak better of your demeanor and maturity in court and most of the time the judge will be a little nicer to u

I got one but had it reduced to exhibition of speed. 2 points on my record and I had to do 7 days in the work release program... Didn't have to pay for anything. Work release sucks though :|

Congrats, a cop thinks your car sounds like a V10 and didn't bother to make you pop your hood looking for illegal mods.

They let WHO/WHAT drive your "shit?" The tow truck guy? You? The bum they caught taking a shit in the alley by where you got pulled over for sounding like a viper doing a burnout?

Look up "trial by written declaration". Pretty much you pay the ticket, then fill out a bunch of forms from the internet and write up a overcomplicated report, then send it in to the court. Usually the cop is a) either too lazy to read it, or b) doesn't actually know the law well enough to interpret it. I got off for going 72 in a 45, pretty much by saying the cop radar'd the car next to me. 2 weeks later I got a check in the mail for 320 dollars.

^^ written declaration is for traffic court only? This violation is not an infraction.

Maybe go ask around the local businesses where you were pulled over at and ask if they have any cameras pointed at where the "Viper" was doing a burn out at.

:bs:

I think any rational person would be asking for advice on how to prove his innocence. Anyone guilty of the crime would just bitch about how he/she got screwed. You did a burnout next to a viper now you want us to help you get out of a ticket? Yes im an :mrmeph: deal with it.

Ur car doesn't get crushed for reckless driving... Only times I've even heard of that happening is for street racing or drifting and even then it's if you have an illegal motor like an sr20 in it... Don't trip op dudes a retard ur cars gonna be fine minus sitting in an impound lot for that long. Impound guy left the windows of my lex rolled down when it got impounded so the interior smelled like animal piss when I got it back... I extend a very special fuck you to Rossi towing in Capitola, bunch a douchebags

I think to many cops are watching Formula D now they think every 240 has a V8 instead of the SRs.

And then they take your keys and drift it onto tow truck - like what happened to the op.
