Modifications for ISIS OIL PAN? HELP PLEASE!!!

people have mentioned grinding down the oil pan, modifying the baffle... any photos or more details? I'm trying to get mine in right now and it won't sit flush.

If it won't sit flat, get it machined flat by a machine shop.

no, Greddy has same issue for many people, but thanks for absolutely nothing. I'm wondering if the people that don't have the problem... don't have the splash shield installed.

anyway, the key to the problem is modifying the splash shield (the flat plate that is exposed when you remove the oil pan). some people even just remove it, but if nissan thanks it should be there; i'll leave it there.

i cut off the rear lip of said splash shield. there are 2 problems. one is that the lip of the splash shield that points down, hits the edge of the oil pan since its a little thicker. the other problem is that i think the baffle waffle (circled below) also hit the splash shield. but by shaving of the lip of the splash shield with a dremel tool, everything lined up perfect.

THERE IS NO NEED TO MODIFY THE OIL PAN ITSELF... SIMPLY SHAVE OFF THE REAR LIP OF THE SPLASH SHIELD.

Just use a grinder and take the part that's hitting off. I've owned 2 of them and both had the same problem. Never had a problem with the baffles tho.

I have a Greddy pan. It fit perfect on my Redtop. I did not have to remove or grind down the shield (except to remove it temporarily to install a new S14 oil pickup and new gasket). Maybe the later model SR's have this issue?

i also had the real GReddy oil pan with no issues. as a matter fact, i had it on 3 different SR's i've owned.

you could of also gone for the MOROSO which is a real nice one.

BUT since you already have the ISIS, might as well just grind down where it hits.
