hello, im having problems with my s13 sr blacktop. I did a lot of research but can't find similar problems.

the car has:
s15 turbo
Full exhaust
custom mid mount intercooler
stock ECU
stock maf

it all started when i switched injectors from 555's to 370cc's,
i turned the boost down to 7psi, and i re-stabbed the CAS.
Now i cant get the timing to stay on the 15 mark on the crank pulley(second to right)

I keep re stabbing the CAS (fsm spec, TDC), but sometimes its too advanced or too retard.

The best I've managed to set the timing is between 10 and 15, but the car runs slooow. It doesn't boost smooth, it feels very sluggish when its building boost.

i don't have a wideband so i don't know if its running lean. I have set the fuel pressure to 45, 50, and 60 and still no difference.

**Before i switched injectors, i was running 555cc injectors on stock tune and it was running fine, a bit rich but it spooled smooth.**

im pretty stumped right now, I will check the ecu codes tomorrow, but if anyone has had this similar problem, please let me know. Thanks

Why did you take out the CAS to swap injectors?
Also why would you adjust the fuel pressure to anything but stock?

i took out the CAS because the timing marks were off. They were off because when i fired up the motor for the first time i set the timing wrong.

And i changed the fuel pressure because @ 38, it was lagging bad with the 370cc's, so i thought maybe it needed more fuel.

Have you fixed it yet? If not seems like an easy fix. I'll wait too see where you at with this.

i checked the Fault codes on the ecu, came up with code 34 (knock sensor)
does that mean that the knock sensor is bad? or that im getting knock?

Its funny because it wasn't doing this when i had the 555cc injectors, and that's when it should have been doing it because it was getting more fuel making more likely to knock.

And now that it has stock injectors it gets the code 34? wtf?

It means there was a fault, clear the code, check the wiring, unplug the knock sensor plug it back in, check codes again, if you get the code again replace it. It will cause your engine to run sluggish, with that code.

yup, knock sensor will cause the engine to retard time over ~4k rpms

CONGRATULATIONS

*UPDATE*

Well, i put the 555cc injectors back on, and like an art of magic my timing stays put at 15-16*, boosts smooth and fast again, 10-12 psi.

Im thinking that those injectors i bought are not 370cc's...

The ecu is not throwing any codes anymore...

Thanks for the help anyway
