Hey guys,
I was just wondering what the best way is to loosen and remove the crank pulley bolt so I can take off the pulley? Should I just put the tranny in gear to lock it, or is there anouther way to lock the pulley in place? Same process for torquing it back up?
Thanks,
Pete
I stick a ratchet or screw driver through a hole on the cam timing gear making sure it sets on the head bolt not the aluminium. then hold the end of it from hitting the valve cover flange the best I can. Then grun the crank bolt loose. Make sure not to dent up the valve cover flange on the head or it may not seal correctly. Thats my way.

Take the motor out and hit it with an impact gun :)

Put it in 5th gear and have someone step on the brakes while you take your socket with at least a 2ft cheater bar and loosen.
