1973 Datsun 240z smog exempt Engine runs perfect
bought it as a project but need money for school.
When I bought the car the title didn't say anything it was the old style very small and then I got the new one in the mail it said salvage on it. The owner didn't know it was salvaged he said (LIER) when I called him up all pissed but to be honest the body is Perfectly straight, no signs of a wreck or damage and motor swapped in that runs great so shouldn't be an issue.
Would like to get close to asking price $3800 for a solid car and motor
call dont text for questions i dont have unlimited texting

so you bought the car without looking at it in person? isnt it really obvious when a car is salvaged cause wen you try to register it, it pops up like a red flag? i'm not sure but that would be my guess...and all salvaged cars need to go through bar and chp to resurrect it am i right?
i've always like the oldschool z-chassis. glws

UHHH Nope, I looked all over the car and searched for any sign of damage or panels being removed before purchase test drove it and kicked the tires for a while. The body is super straight aside from rust spots.
I took it to get registered the day I bought it and made the dude go with me to make sure there were no issues not a word was said by the registration office about it coming up salvaged. I will even provide the previous owners number who is located in LA.

I've gone through this before, the reason why it showed up as salvage on the title is because it sounds like the car has not been registered for such a long time that it was out of the DMV system(big hint is the small pink slip which came with my 240z I purchased a while back also). Don't people know how CHEAP it is to put a car on non-op? GEEZ!

ooo, i see. just wondering. didnt mean to shit on your thread. if i had the resources, a 240z drift project would be legit.

That could be it cause I got the car and the guy owed $650 on back registration cause he didnt make it non op and then i got the car after he hadn't registered it for so many years thanks for the info man.
