kainoa, the invidia catback will bolt up to your stock cat with no problems. the 3" cat is designed to have the same flange layout as the stock cat, so either cat would work. i should know, invidia test fitted their beta version on my s13.

Just so you know rs-r and invidia are not the same company. Invida was some how trying steal the rs-r name. In one of the mags there was a full page ad from rs-r telling people that these exhaust sytems were not the same.

actually,RS*R and Invidia USED to be the same company. RS*R dropped the Invidia line of exhaust several years ago, and now Invidia is an independent company. although invidia often ships with RS*R/Invidia labled retail boxes, as far as i know, Invidia never claimed to be an RS*R producer. as for the company claim of unauthorized use, that website www.invidiarsr.com doesn't exist, and the design/manufacturing are actually different. also, the invidia/rsr mislabling is mostly done by distributors not the manufacturer. lastly, IIRC, rsr wasn't the first one to come up with the "fireball" design. i'm not trying to defend invidia or anything, just wanted to point out some AFAIK facts. invidia, however, does manufacture their stuff out of taiwan, and if you checked out ebay, you'd see how many other companies are actually copying very similar designs. freggin rice-eating taiwanese mofos. i'm somewhat distressed at people who want 'authentic' parts. IMHO, a lable doesn't justify the huge price difference, especially when the design, materials, quality, and performance of a simple product (ie exhaust) can be replicated and produced at the same price as the 'brand name' items. but then again, there are people who pay $90 for a $2 pair of nike's... maybe something's wrong with me. oh yeah, i'm taiwanese. doh.

kainoa, if you're using your stock cat, you can use your stock gasket. if it is worn/broken/missing, any regular ol' auto parts store should have them.
