Hey does anyone know where I can pick up a s14 ka temp sender. I have a temp sensor but I need to swap the sr one out with the ka. Also would it matter if i left the sr temp sensor in or would it matter. I know it goes to the ecu. Let me know please

Pretty sure the auto parts stores have/ can get you a temp sender for a KA.

if you're using an SR motor, you need the head temp sensor for the SR. the head temp sensor is the one with 2 prongs. The older ones were red, newer ones are blue and I just got a green one from oriellys.
if you're talking the smaller sensor that goes to the cluster to show your water temp... you need to keep your original KA one.

You got 2 temp sensor on the engine, one for the ECU and one for the stock water temp gauge. If you're talking about the gauge sensor, they are chassis specific. Meaning, if you're using a S13 SR20, you need your stock S14 KA sensor to swap into it. If you dont, your stock S14 water temp gauge will show that you're overheating all the time.
Do not go to Autozone for the sensor...they only have one type of sensor for all 240sx, which is the wrong sensor for S14s. Go directly to the dealer for this part.

ok cool guys thanks for the info. autozone is the one that got me the s14 ka temp sensor not gauge sensor. But im leaving the sr on in there for the temp sensor, and replacing the gauge sensor with the ka one when I buy it.... yeah my temp gauge is all over the place and shoots to hot in the afternoon driving home, but in the morning it reads in the middle for the most part and I have a full bottle of water wetter in it lol so I know its not over heating or anything

if it reads normal most of the time, and hot when its hotter outside... then engine is PROBABLY getting hot. make sure you have NO air bubbles in the cooling system. may also wanna replace the t-stat (cheap and easy... kinda dumb not to on an old performance motor)

well i forgot to say that it reads normal after about 10 sec. of driving lol so I know it the sensor, bleed a million times and added the water wetter and nothing changed heater blew hella hot. I just changed the gauge sender so im going to go for a quick run but im pretty sure its the sender that was the problem, will update later guys thanks for the input though
