Amazing deal on a 1999 BMW Techno Violet E36 M3. The car originated in California and has been owned, and modified by me for the past year. The car has been problem free, garage kept, rust free and rarely driven. It is in very good condition, and is a definite head turner. The engine has a documented 60,000 miles, and ~2.500 since its professional rebuild. While a lot of parts have been replaced with top quality and newer items, the chassis has 150k on it. It is very reliable, and very daily drivable. The color is called 'Techno Violet' which is a fairly rare, especially when matched with the black interior. I do not NEED to sell the car, and i am financially stable with the car. However, i have had a few hurtles to overcome at the moment where some extra money would only benefit me then this car. (can at the moment.)

Exterior: 8.5/10 (tiny dent on rear fender that is only noticeably under certain lighting, and small paint chip in rear bumper)
Interior: 8.5/10 (missing ashtray)

ENGINE:
- installed 10/13/2011 59k miles with documents. Fully rebuilt, new pistons, piston rings, head gasket, valve cover gasket, oil pump nut fix, rod bearings, all seals and gaskets replaced i have all documents only 2500 miles since rebuild.

Ground Control coilovers (i will include two sets of springs)
Turner adjustable rear camber arms
30mm Front Wheel Spacers
25mm Rear Wheel spacers

Wheels:
Hamann PG1: 17x8.5 et38
(+8 in front, +13 front with spacers)
Extra set of LTW's (need tires but will include)

Brakes:
Slotted Rotors
Stainless braided brake lines all around

The bad:
missing ashtray
trunk doesnt have much interior lining anymore
Tail lights, and trunk need to be hooked up (I currently do not have the time)

You should definitely keep it, if you trade for a 240 you won't be happy. No offense to everybody on here with a 240, but M3>240.
They are fun at first because they are fast, but you will soon realize how much better BMW's are than Nissans. Haha

I say keep and just have fun with it. BMW's are great cars, and if you boost it you will never want another car..... ever.

^^^ I agree 100% with him. I have owned 2 E36's myself, one track car and one street/track car and wish every second I still owned them.

Even a proper built 240 feels like doodoo compared to the E36. I know b.c I made the mistake of getting a 240.

Like SMatyec said, keep it, love it, and boost it. TRM turbo E36 is by far the most fun car to drive. End of story.

I agree with both posts above. You may be quite disappointed. If you are prepared for what the 240sx is (a grocery getter), then you will be alright though.

Im also doing the same thing. I have a m3 that I was willing to trade for a 240 but after seeing this its got me second guessing. Damn its a hard choice. I had a turbo 325is over 450hp and that thing was a blast. I had a turbo 240 but it just didn't seem to be all that great. I don't know. Glws if that what you choose to do.
