Alright I just did a s14sr to my s14 starts up perfect idles just fine boost is at 10lbs right now. Now for the issue, running the car to 4500rpm and it bogs out if I step on the accelerator to the floor it goes to 5500rpm then bogs.
What im running:fmic, isis rad and efans, hks ssqv4 bov, hks actuator, custom intake, and a s14sr maf.
Things Ive done so far. Replaced fuel pump with a walbro 255 and sparkplugs with ngk. Check all my wiring and everything is fine also did countless searches on this but none of them is really helpful so now I'm lost

boost leak, prolly due to your bov opening under boost

Your maf could be bad too

This is the second maf and its doing the same thing as the 1st but I tested it and its operating fine. Thanks for your input.

I hope its not the wrong ecu. I bought my swap from JDMdepot. How do I find out if its the wrong ecu for the engine?

I did a boost leak test and had no leak but maybe I'm wrong. How would I go about fixing that? It is a brand new HKS bov not a knock off.

boost leak is more then just a BOV issue. It could be a hole in your intake, vac line disconnected, or a coupler off sucking in un-recognized air.
anyways, what injectors do you have and are they high or low impedance?

Alright back from the grave.
I have replaced all vacuum lines, boost lines, fuel lines ect. new fpr new fuel pump new maf. All grounds are grounded, all wiring is secure, everything is fresh. Now Im still bogging out at 5500 rpms and if I ride it thru it goes to 6500-7000 and bogs there.

U may be running rich, I tuned my car on a safc and on the first few pulls it was running rich and would bog at 5000 rpm fixed the air fuel mix and now pulls hard to redline. Boost was at 10 pounds.

Check your mechanical timing and make sure its good. Then double check your baseline timing. For spark plugs what are you running and what is it gapped to?

Yeah tuning is my next step.

Its probably gapped too wide...get a gapper and gap them down to .030. Most off the shelf plugs are gapped anywhere between .044 to .056.

Yes yes. I forgot to mention this too he is correct I had 7 Ngk plugs and it was misfiring as well and bogging. switched to a gap plug and it went away instantly..
