Hey everyone. Some of you might remember my issues with a previous owner installed POS alarm system. Well I ignored everyone's advice and left that thing in and now its come back to haunt me. Car won't start and had to leave it in a parking lot. Before the alarm would trigger and I knew how to fix that. This time, it's just totally fukked up. I traced a bunch of wires and found the alarm box jury rigged under the steering wheel. The alarm is a 'Auto-Mate 3' E-bay crap alarm. Does anyone have any experience with this alarm or how to get rid of it? This is the alarm I'm talking about :

ok... i've been reading some stuff about alarms and starter kill. a starter killer at its simplest is a relay with 4 wires popping out of it. they go to ignition power, alarm signal, ignition switch and starter motor... correct? could i disable the starter killer simply by reconnecting the harness where the connection was broken originally? i'm not even sure what the wires were originally... i DO see the alarm and it looks like a ghetto hack job. it seems like there is a wire going to a LED light, a siren, a dead pedal switch and what i think is the starter killer relay (a box with 4 wires going into it). someone chime in plz... i need to go to work T_T thanks...

exactly. Get out the multimeter and find which wire is powered in run or start only, find it on the key side, and the car side. Attached and it should work just fine?
I think my wires were white with a pink stripe (s14). Check a chilton's or FSM to make it easier to find things.
