Exhaust question

alright ive been looking around and i have found out... Yes i can use my stock exhaust on SR. ok, the sr im getting comes with a 3 inch downpipe. my current exhaust doesnt have a Cat or test pipe. its just removed and a pipe is welded in its place. how would i be able to connect my stock exhaust to that down pipe? would any size test pipe/Cat would fit on that 3 inch downpipe? would my stock exhaust fit any size testpipe/ Cat? (by size i mean 3 inch test pipe or a 2 and a half inch, ect). why am i going stock exhaust? i really dont know why you must know but im trying to save up and get one i like. right now money is a issue.

I have stock exhaust on my sr20det also.

Just buy the typical 3" exhaust components from ebay, they will bolt to the OEM exhaust system.

For instance, you can just buy a standard cat replacement 3" section. Or you can by the elongated downpipe that does not require the cat replacement.

Either way will work with OEM exhaust. No reason to upgrade the exhaust system unless you shoot for over 280 horsepower.
