So I bought an Isis M-spec intercooler a few weeks ago and I haven't really gotten to installing it until yesterday. I got the whole kit with all the hardware and everything that comes with it including the piping. As I installed the core yesterday I noticed it was quite tricking to get it to sit straight in front of the bars that supported the front bumper and the horns. I used that little metal cylindrical bushing thing that hooks up to where the hood latch was and the two 90 degree brackets to mount the lower part of the intercooler to where the horn bars go onto the core support. I had to shove the two 14mm bolts through the intercooler's bottom brackets because they wouldn't fit in the little oval holes so I pretty much threaded em myself. I manage to mount it but i'm pretty sure I've done it wrong. There are a bunch of extra hardware left and I've never done this before so I was just kinda going off of common sense. I'm not close to anyone who has another front mounted intercooler s13 so I can't go off of an example. If you guys have had any experience or also run the same set up as I do can you give me some tips or show some pics of how you guys mounted it? Mine's all stable but I know it's sitting awkwardly. I'll get some pictures of it up soon but please help me out here! Also I can't take the car anywhere to get tips on it because it's a shell and I'm currently working on it as my first 240. :x:
