fs: recaro speed seats

hi -

i'm located in silver spring, md.

i have two recaro speed seats for sale. these are authentic seats.

i installed them new about ten years ago with sliders and wedge engineering brackets. i paid almost two grand for them back then.

the car was garaged for the last eight or so years and now i'm bringing it back out and turning her into a dd/autox car and i don't fit these seats anymore.

the driver's seat has some blemishes and wear as shown in the photos and i took them so everything looks worse in the photos than they do in reality but wanted to provide full disclosure. the passenger seat is near immaculate. the knobs for the recline adjustment are off as i set it were i wanted and don't ever change it. there is a separate knob to completely bring it forward.

these were installed in my 89 coupe but of course would fit a variety of cars.

comes with wedge engineering brackets and recaro sliders.

don't really know how much these are worth but with everything included and considering they are not mint, i'll put up a price of $800, picked up.

do you have anything that shows that these are authentic recaro? (for instance, the adjustment knob that you conveniently removed)

these looks like knockoffs that were reupholstered.

a. are you interested in the seats for purchase?
b. who would reupholster fake recaro seats? a proper job that would look as amazing as these authentic seats do, would be $200-325 bucks per seat, at least - one would just buy new fake seats!
c. what detail(s) makes these look like "knockoffs that were reupholstered"?
d. what does the adjustment knob have to do with anything? there are no markings on the knob
e. they are authentic recaros, i'll guarantee it with the sale.

but thankfully i found the original authentication tags on the underside in two locations with the recaro p/n and their serial number which for the über paranoid can be cross referenced directly though recaro-usa

B. lots of people. ebay sells fake recaros every day.
C. i've never seen recaro speeds with that color combo, or that material. were they custom ordered?
D. the adjustment knob on my recaro srd says recaro on it, horizontally. most of the knockoffs do not.
E. excellent, your photos confirm it. most people, including me, are skeptical, especially when the asking price is a large chunk of $$$.

they were not custom ordered. recaro speeds come in a myriad of various color combinations and solid tones.

this is not a recaro srd. this is a recaro speed.
