It came off of the s14 tranny I'm using in my s13 so I don't need it. Has about 130,000 miles on it. Looking to get $60 OBO, I am willing to ship. Shoot me a pm if interested. I am located in Carson 90745.

this isnt a manuel speed sensor, its from a automatic. you need the red gear for it to work in a manuel tranny.

The part number on the sensor body reads 71T00, which from my research points me to the direction that it is a manual speed sensor? Haven't really dealt with these thing so I'm not 100% sure.

the part number are the same on all those speed sensors, its the gear you need to look out for. red = manuel, pink = auto. you can buy the red gear for less than $20 bucks. ( from nissan) link tells more.

FYI Nissan won't sell the gear by its self or atleast not the dealers in SoCal.Z1 motorsports sells the gear for 20bucks though

Swapping out the gear pinion wont work. Auto sensors a fatter and wont fit in a manual transmission.

This is true, I'm currently doing a 5 speed swap in my 97, and my auto speed sensor was too fat for my 5 speed tranny. Had to get the one with the red gear.

All I can honestly say is that I'm 100% sure it came out of a manual tranny. Don't know anything about the different sizes or different gears.

I'm in SF , went to dealer and I think they do sell the seperate gear , it is listed with it's own part number. In case anyone needs something from there. free bump!
