So i took my 240 with a s13 sr20det to the track this weekend. Running 11psi boost on stock turbo, full 3inch exhaust, 255lph fuel pump. hp calculator says i should have 233 at the wheels and should theoretically be running closer to 13.4 but that's a stupid formula that cant account for track conditions and driver ability...
best time slip:
Reaction time: .525
60ft: 2.249
330ft: 6.031
speed: 80.78
660ft: 9.101
vehicle speed: 101.01
ET: 13.939

Hows this look? i feel like that 60ft time is crap. and reaction time isn't the greatest either. Is this ET respectable for the set up I'm running?

it looks fine. dont get paranoid over .4 or whatever seconds. so many things affect drag racing times.

^true shit^
is it possible to get to 13 flat on the stock turbo? injectors, maf, fuel pump, and tuning obviously, perhaps cams? does anyone have experience drag racing the 240 sr20det?

get an lsd and some nice tires to cut that 60 ft down. you'll be in the low-mid 13s
and remember, SLIP the clutch

I ran a best of 14.5 with my rb20 with rb25 turbo. But it is a vert. I was beating s2k's all day that were running low 15's at the track.

you mean stage, then apply the parking brake and let the clutch out so it just barely engages, right? and my tires are shot lol

Hmmmm, so you asked for advice because your times were off, but your tires are shot, and you fail to see the connection? Just saying, was it necessary to make a thread

My old 240 was exactly the same as yours, even put down literally 233 at the wheels. Except I was using a set or r comps and had a lsd. Ran 13.4 alll day long.

^i agree^ although it can give me a good idea of where my car stands. I much prefer street racing anyday. I have fun drifting around town and such, but the folks at drift events are lame around here. Have been considering road racing, but setting the car up isnt going to be cheap.

DUDE YOU NEED NAWWWWWS

"It's your fuel map, it's got a nasty hole That's why you're unloading into third I lengthen the injector, pulse another millisec, just tune the NOS time and you'll run nines"

lighten the car. move the battery in the trunk. speed shift(don`t let off the gas when you shift). your reaction time will get better the more you go. make sure you take off as soon as the last yellow lights up. if you have adjustable shocks, make them softer. more weight transfer to the rear will improve your 60 foot.

i didnt think of the shocks... good point, ill soften them up a bit to get some more transfer to the rear

:picardfp:

Work on your traction first OP. A 60' of 2.2 is what's killing you. Like others have stated, get some better tires to start.

You need drag tires if you are going to drag strip.
