5speed or auto?

Hey guys, i just bought a 91 240 hatch and its automatic.i was wondering about the 5 speed swap.should i just have waited and got a 5 speed?! keep in mind the car only had 58,000 miles on it only but im guessing its around 75,000 cuz the odometer is sorta sluggish...but the question is should i have waitedfor a 5 speed of higher mileage ? :newbie:

Personally I would have waited for a 5 speed equiped car, unless the automatic is really clean inside and out. Did you just went out and pick up the first one you saw? You could always convert the auto to manual, and since the car has low milage it might be worth the effort.

no i waited..i looked for 3 weeks everysingle one i found was sold , that had a 5 speed...i guess its good for now since its so practical for my daily commute to work...but a 5 speed swap is coming later.... :x:

I say, be happy with what you have. Although a 5speed makes a more fun drive for wen u wana go "DORI DORI." haha.

But, the 240SX is an awesome all around car wheter it's auto or stick. So, enjoy your Nissan...

Pacific Rim's has an S13 Silvia Coupe converted from a 240. It has an automatic and it performs awesome...

It took me 5 months to find my 240, so three weeks is nothing. Personally I would have waited for a 5 speed b/c if you swap you better know what your doing b/c it is tedious work. If you look, there out there, after my search I found my baby (96 SE 5 speed 52,000 miles) But if you swap get an SR. what ever do what you want but you cant have fun with an AUTO.

well the swap isnt gonna be performed by lil ol me! knowing my luck ill end up with a nissan lawn decoration.i have a friend who works @ motorex here in gardena...hopefully hell pick it up as side project.but like my other thread the only thing i really need to do is take off that really old tint on my rear window!I CANT SEE! :-/

juss convert it cuz its too late now. i waited for about a year to get mai car. cuz i couldnt find a good 5 speed
