it was more like a ufc match then a hockey game, ref did a terrible job I can't believe they thought it was fair to throw dubinsky out of the game too. Carkner is nothing more then a thug, he deserved to get thrown out of the game for pulling that crap but to throw out dubinsky as well one of the rangers start players for jumping in to help his team mate who was being jumped is just retarded. I like how the ref is just standing their signaling a penalty while the boyle is having his face mashed in laying down on the ice, what was dubinsky supposed to do just stand there a watch???

I agree. I think Luo has played pretty good. I am much more a fan of Schneider than Luo, however. Seems like Luo loses all confidence if he gets a couple goals scored on him.

Blackhawks fan here. We have had two very interesting games sprinkled with some garbage officiating. Two extra-attacker goals in sub-20 seconds of game time have made for some exciting overtime finishes. Im heading to the game Thursday and am very pumped.

Flyers fan here...so glad they took the Pens out of the playoffs yesterday. Being a Flyers fan I know they aren't the classiest team in the league but in the playoffs the Penguins had zero class (asham, Neal, Malkin...) and are so babied by the league (Neal only getting one game despite headhunting two Flyers IN ONE SHIFT). I'm glad the refs caught on to the "over dramatic acting" the penguins used to draw penalties (most notably Letang throwing his head back every time he is touched). The series was insane and a lot of goals scored by both sides, but at the end of the day the Flyers and their rookies outplayed the Super Star Penguins. Now I'm worried about next series and whether or not Bryz will be able to play well enough to keep us in the playoffs

Also Claude Giroux (14 Points and a +6) outshined the Penguins "Super Stars" Crosby (8 points and a -3 rating) and Malkin (8 points and a -1)

As skilled as Hodgson was, he was on the soft side and was kind of slow.

Like Gillis has been saying, once players like Kassian are fully developed they are near impossible to get in a trade.

I agree that would have been better off THIS playoffs with him instead of Kassian, but who knows if that deal would have been around in the summer. Kassian is 2-3 years out IMO of being a huge impact player since power forwards usually take longer to develop.

I'm really excited about Jensen coming up though, maybe he will make the team next year. But he has size, skill and speed combined with a good shot

Kings dominated game 1. It should have been a shutout, Quick gave up 2 bad goals.

Not to mention, the yotes had two incredibly stupid retaliation penalties which screwed themselves on key power play chances. Its almost like the kings terrible positioning helps them. You keep making this argument about quick being the reason they are where they are. But the same can be said about the devils.

The kings had more shots on goal in all 5 games except for game 4, where they both were even. So take both Quick and Broduer out, leave the nets empty, AND THE KINGS WOULD HAVE STILL WON.

So the "if not for Quick, the Devils would of put the Kings out by now" argument doesn't make sense, because if you take both goalies out the Kings would still be ahead.

I am a Devils fan, but let me say the Kings have played masterfully these playoffs. As far as the finals go, both the Devs and the Kings have had their fair share of luck. The Devils F-ing up and giving that break away goal away in the OT of game 1, the shot that hit the cross bar right before the end of the 3rd in game 2, which would have most likely put that game away with a Devs win, and the Kings won in OT again. Both teams have been terrible on the PP throughout the playoffs, its a good series all around with two teams that I consider to be pretty evenly matched. Quick and Brodeur are both amazing goalies, and strange deflections happen all the time, and that truly is the major way you're going to score on a good goalie. That being said, go Devils! :)

yeeaaaahhhhh checking the ref probably didnt help the devils out at all cuz that just means theres gonna be a grudge lol.... even without the 3 goals with the 5 minute PP they still scored 3 more, so with out the PP it woulda been a final score of 3-1 maybe if they didnt pull marty and get the open net 2-1 either way they won...... GOOD JOB KINGS!!!!!!!!!
