Alright guys, my previous thread was getting cluttered with all these updates, no one seemed to know what the car had or has since I have parted out some stuff (Brembos/Takata Green TE37s Sold). So, I thought it may be more beneficial to start a new thread. I am basically selling the car to buy a house. I know from my previous thread that I wanted an S2000 GPW/NSX, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen anytime soon. In the meantime, I bought a beater, 2009 White Honda Fit/5spd/Nav/Sport. 30+ Miles/gallon :jaw drop:. So heres the dilemma, I can keep both cars an take me longer to buyer a house but enjoy the M3 longer or sell the M3, buy a house/have a garage and put cars in there later. I would prefer the 2nd option but don't mind the 1st. So keep in mind, I don't have to sell the car, but would prefer to sell it. NO LOW BALLERS. There will be no parting out until I have sold the car or the buyer does not want the extras. So heres some info.
Vehicle: 2002 Phoenix Yellow/Black Interior/Cold Weather Package/Bi-Xenons/Sunroof/ BMW M3 6speed
Price: $23,000 obo
Location: Philadelphia, PA / Cherry Hill, NJ
Miles: 61,000 miles
Contact: 215-791-0140
Engine: BMC Filter / Gruppe-M Titanium Exhaust / BMW Motorsports 3.91 Differential
Suspension: TCKline D/A Coilovers / Ground Control Street Camber Plates / TCKline RSMs / Bimmerworld 75mm Stud Conversion / 12mm BW Spacers
Wheels: Enkei NTO3+M 18x10 + 25 x 4 (Will come with brand new Bridgestone RE760s mounted/balanced/Alignment)
Background: I purchased the car in 11/11/2009 with 42,000 miles on the Odometer from Autostrada on Street Road, Bensalem PA. They buy/sell high end cars, anywhere from ferraris to civics. When I purchased the car, I had a PPI and everything was straight and sound. Unfortunately, when purchasing a car from a used car dealership no maintenance record was available prior to the dealership taking ownership, so I just went digging. Autostrada was able to provide me with a carfax which was clean and free of accidents. The carfax had stated that the //M had been serviced by JMK BMW prior, therefore I contacted them to see if I were able to get some type of records. As many of you guys knows and that have tried in the past, this is impossible unless you get the prior owner's permission, which I didn't have access to, but they were able to tell me that all maintenance were up to date up until the sale of the vehicle, rod bearing recalls were done, and the vehicle was strictly serviced @ JMK for all warranty work/repairs (such as a window regulator replacement passenger side).
Maintenance and Warranty Since Ownership:
Oil Changes strictly with Castrol 10W60 @ VAC Motorsports/Bavarian Specialties/Mainline BMW @ 3000 - 7500 Mile intervals
- The most recent oil change was at Bavarian Specialties @ 56,000 miles and the car has 57,xxx miles now.
12/2009: Right when I purchased the car, I had Mainline BMW Head Technician look over the vehicle to see what needed to replace, they replaced my cabin filter/serpentine belts/performed a brake flush/replaced windshield wipers/Subframe Check (No cracks whatsoever, and also commented on the cleanliness of the vehicle)
03/2010: Driver Side window regulator replaced under my Continental Warranty Coverage
08/2010: My car started to misfire one morning, got it checked out @ BMW Mount Laurel and it was in fact the ignition coils that had went; All 6 coils replaced by BMW Mount Laurel under TSB
01/2012 @ 60,000 miles
Brand new Alternator/Battery/Vanos Bolts Replaced/Valve Adjustment/Rear Subframe Inspected all done @ VAC Motosports. John always comments on how clean my car. I take that as a compliment as I keep good care of my vehicles.
Modifications:
12/2010 @ 48,000: This is when I recently purchased a set of Volk Racing RE30s 18x9.5 +35mm Non-staggered set-up. The rear wheels looked to sunken in as many of you guys know; Therefore I picked up some Bimmerworld 75mm studs x 20/Lugs x 20/12 mm spacers x 2 for the rear. I no longer have the RE30s.
03/2011 @ 52,000 miles:
I swapped diffs with one of the forum members (myrontology) for his 3.91 BMW Motorsports built by Diego @ AMS Autowerkes in Linden, NJ. The differential was completely torn down and rebuilt with all new shims and equipment prior to installing the 3.91 R/P. Myron only had the diff on for about 1000 miles before he sold it to me and when swapped the diffs, it was flushed with BMW FM Booster Differential fluid @ $50/each x 3 @ AMS Autowerkes.
05/2011 @ 54,000 - 57,000 miles:
Within this month alone I have installed quite a bit of modifications to the //M. The modifications include TCKline D/A Coilovers (Brand New TCKline RSMs) w/ GC Street Camber plates (Brand New GC Camber Plate Camber indicator plate). I purchased these used < 14,000 miles as per the previous owner, and I had Steve @ VAC motorsports inspected them before I installed them. He said they looked great. I have installed them for no more than 2000 miles and they handle great, not too bouncy, but the performance is second to none that I have tried. (I still have the stock suspension)
