View Full Version : Bride RO seat Rail fitting issues.
I have a little fitting issues on my S13. Seems like only the front left (closest to the door) bolt is the only one that goes all the way in. I have trouble with the other bolts. And another Problem is the nut (rear right next to center console) doesn't seem to go in cause the bracket barely goes in. What can i do about the fitting issues? anyone else have problems with thei brackets? dousan, dorifto slut carisma fr? or anyone else with brides?
EDIT: o and probably why the bolts don't go in is because they are stripped, but can the thread in the chassis get stripped too? i hope not :bash:

you could run a tap into the threads... replace your stripped bolts.

The nut won't go in. When I had the Bride seat, it was only bolted with three bolts. No problems there.
thanks yea you told me that, but i was wondering if it was supposed to go all the wa in or not. and where did you mount the seat belt @?

Ok... slide your seat all the way back. thread the front 2 bolts in like... 4 threads. Slide the seat all the way forward. Then hit up the rear one near the tranny tunnel. Slide the bracket onto the stud as far as it goes, up to, maybe 4-5 threads. Then catch the rear bolt near the door. thread that on as far as you can, but not torqued down yet... after you get that one in as far as you can, return to the nut on the tranny tunnel stud. Thread THAT one in as far as you can also. Slide seat back. Thread in the front 2 as far as you can. Tighten the front left one a bit, not all the way tight though... Slide seat forward. Tighten down the nut on the stud first, then the other one, then return to the front and tighten those down.
The brackets dont fit perfect due to age of chassis, quality control, tweaking, etc... if there is no way its working (hey, even stock seat brackets have these problems.... thus the reason your bolts are stripped) try heating up the part giving you the most difficulty with a propane torch and bending it according to the tweaking of your car... Also, get new bolts to put in, and clean the threads in your holes as best you can with WD40, PB Blaster, etc.... May need to tap those or whatever.... I dunno. Anyway, if you were in Socal i would come over and help you,. but i see you are in Sacremento. More like SUCKremento. ANyway, best of luck. PM me if you still have problems...
thanks for the advice, but yea you ever been to sacramento? it aint that bad but very bland and boring, last time i went to socal it was soo fun! i guess i gotta make another trip again, maybe to d1 in feb. Ill hit you guys up if we can chill or something!
