Crank shaft possition sensor

I am trying to find out if my 96 obdii Crank shaft possition sensor and my 91 are the same and interchangeble. also where are they located at and how hard are they to take off. Thanks.

Almost all cps are located in the bellhousing, or near the flywheel. In this case, there's one on the very top of the bellhousing. Removal is simply one small bolt holding it in. The hard part, is getting to the top of the bellhousing.

also what does this control and will I feel a power gain when I get this taken care of.
