Ok here goes, my setup is redtop, fresh rebuild (only 1010 miles), cp pistons (8.5-1), 1.5 hg, isis ex mani, S15 T28, fmic, arp head studs, tomei poncams (256), RAS, stock maf, stock injectors, hks bov (not recirculated), full 3 inch from turbo back, isis test pipe, brand new 02 sens, new gaskets all the way around, think thats about it.
Ok now my prob, last year the car ran tits on 10lbs until it broke 2 ring landings on #2 piston. So i did a complete rebuild and added some goodies as described above. I got it all running 3-4 weeks ago and have been running stock boost for the break-in period and it was just a little hesitant up to 3K or so. A few days ago i got to the 1,000 mile mark and decided it was a good time to re-torque the head studs. I set it to tdc and proceeded to do so, re-bled a ticking lifter while i was in there. Put it all back together tripple checked the timing marks, CAS and everything, it was all perfect. I turned the boost up to 10lbs and took it for a drive, now the damn thing is NA until 4-5k then it slaps me in the face and takes off, it does all the time (not intermitent). If i ease into the throttle it seems to pull good until i step on it and it fall over again until about 5K. I pulled the valve cover off thinking i was off a tooth or something and still everything is dead nutz perfect, timing is at 15 deg. The car idles fine, guage is showing 10hg at idle (this seems lower than i remember). I have checked for leaks all over and nothing, all i can think is something electrical is happening, but i cannot figure out why it is fine if i ease into it but runs like shit if i smash the gas. please any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!!
