I understand the voltage outputs are not the same, how far are they off? effects?

It will run like shit. You need some type of tuning to use a different maf.

how so? leaner richer, at high rpm or low?

You could try searching you know? What's the reason for putting on a different maf on a stock singlecam? You need some way to correct the signal going to the ecu, a simple safc will work, but again, why?

going on a car with a rulebook to adhere to, the n60 meets the rules and every 1/10th counts

you will need a retune of the ecu in order to run the maf. all you need to do is change the VQ map to that of the MAF you want to run. start here:

ECCS-TECH.INFO • View forum - KA24E Tuning (http://eccs-tech.info/viewforum.php?f=16&sid=3339ce889664b8608b9d7c04659deaa7)

good luck

(btw, you wont see any sort of power gains by just upgrading your maf)

^Get a cam, I have a O&J stage 2 cam for the sohc-t. Really helped keeping the power from dropping off.

gotta keep stock cam

An upgraded maf would not 'move' your power band. Look into getting an aftermarket camshaft.

What the fuck are you talking about?

All a maf does is reads the air.

People upgrade to bigger mafs only when the engine is sucking in so much air that the maf essentially can't keep up.

the oem maf has like an 1 1/4" ID restricting flow big time, the 3" ID of the N60 will open up airflow

^If you're so adamant about using one, get something to tune it so it runs right. If using aftermarket tuning is not in your rulebook, give it up.

The stock throttle body is about 60mm and tapers to about 55mm.

The smaller end of the maf is about 55mm.

Regardless of the maf size, you won't suck in any more air than the throttle body is big.

Not to mention your car isn't sucking in THAT much air for an N/A.

Spend your money elsewhere if you want to gain power.
